In 2013, Colorado passed HB-1303, the Voter Access & Modernized Election Act (VAME). VAME modernize the elections process, simplifies the election process, increases voting options and access, and protects the integrity of the democratic process. What this means for you:
All active registered voters will receive a ballot by mail delivered approximately 18 – 22 days before the election.
If you are not registered to vote, you can register and vote on the same day is permitted if you appear in person at the Elector’s County Clerk and Recorder’s office or a Voter Service Center and meet the necessary residency requirements.

To check or update your voter registration status, visit www.govotecolorado.com. If you are not registered to vote you can do so online or download a registration form to print, fill out, and mail in.
