Colorado AFL-CIO and AFSCME Endorse Jessie Danielson

Wheat Ridge, CO – Colorado State House Democratic candidate Jessie Danielson’s growing list of support expanded further today, as two major labor unions endorsed her candidacy for House District 24. Both the Colorado AFL-CIO and public employee union AFSCME have announced their support for Danielson.

“I am proud that these two organizations, who have fought so hard for Colorado working families, are endorsing my candidacy,” said Danielson.

“My campaign is built around the idea of reducing income inequality and the message of giving every working family a fair shot at economic security,” Danielson added. “Doing so means growing the middle class, helping workers on the job and in the community, raising hourly wage averages to increase household income, and fighting for a strong public school system.”

In addition, Danielson’s campaign has received the endorsement of numerous current and former elected officials and several other labor organizations.

Jessie Danielson serves as State Director for America Votes. She was appointed by Governor Hickenlooper to the Voter Access and Modernized Election Commission to oversee implementation of election law and is a long-time advocate for greater access for everyone in the political process. She also chairs the board of Emerge Colorado, an organization that encourages and trains Democratic women to run for office, and she serves on the boards of NARAL Pro-Choice Colorado and ProgressNow Colorado. Danielson is a former statewide political director for NARAL Pro-Choice Colorado.
