Jessie Danielson Earns Naral Pro-Choice Colorado Endorsement For HD-24

Denver – Long-time women and families advocate Jessie Danielson received NARAL Pro-Choice Colorado’s endorsement for Jefferson County’s House District 24 Democratic primary.

“Jessie has been a champion for women’s reproductive freedom her entire career. She understands the importance of every Coloradan’s need to make personal decisions with their families and doctors and without government interference,” said Karen Middleton, executive director of NARAL Pro-Choice Colorado.

A lifelong Coloradan, Jessie Danielson serves as State Director for America Votes. She was appointed by Governor Hickenlooper to the Voter Access and Modernized Election Commission to oversee implementation of election law and is a long-time advocate for greater access for everyone in the political process. She also chairs the board of Emerge Colorado, an organization that encourages and trains Democratic women to run for office, and she serves on the boards of NARAL Pro-Choice Colorado and ProgressNow Colorado. Danielson is a former statewide political director for NARAL Pro-Choice Colorado.

“NARAL is proud to stand with Jessie because she has been a real advocate at the State Capitol for choice issues and someone who knows how to represent Colorado values. Jessie has a commitment to women’s rights that is unshakeable,” said Ellen Dumm, chairman of NARAL Pro-Choice Colorado, Inc.

HD-24 is in Jefferson County and includes the towns of Wheat Ridge, Golden, Edgewater, Applewood, Fairmount, Mountain View, Lakeside and parts of Lakewood and Arvada. Danielson is the top-line designee in the June 24 primary.
