Dan Pabon Endorses Jessie Danielson

DENVER, CO – State Rep. Dan Pabon (D-Denver), who sponsored the groundbreaking Colorado Voter Access & Modernized Elections Act (COVAME) in 2013, endorsed Democratic State House candidate Jessie Danielson today.

“Jessie Danielson built the bipartisan coalition that helped us pass the country’s most comprehensive election modernization law,” said the Assistant Majority Leader. “I have seen firsthand Jessie’s progressive values and hers is the kind of legislative experience that we need at the State House.”

HB13-1303 expands Colorado’s early voting period, provides mail ballots to every active registered voter, establishes Voting Service and Polling Centers to make access to the ballot easier, and has created a modernized system for same day registration. The act makes it easier for voters to cast a ballot by modernizing election systems, replacing patchwork county policies with consistent statewide rules, and saves taxpayer dollars.

Jessie Danielson serves as State Director for America Votes. She was appointed by Governor Hickenlooper to the Voter Access and Modernized Election Commission to oversee implementation of HB13-1301 and is a long-time advocate for greater access for everyone in the political process.

Danielson owns a home in Wheat Ridge, the third generation of her family to live there. She was born and raised in Ault, Colorado, where her family farms. Her website is www.jessiedanielson.com.
