EMILY’s List Endorses Jessie Danielson for Colorado State House
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today EMILY’s List, the nation’s largest resource for Democratic women in politics, endorsed Jessie Danielson for Colorado State House in the 24th District. EMILY’s List’s mission is to elect pro-choice Democratic women to national, state and local office.
“Jessie Danielson has spent her entire career fighting for women’s rights,” said Denise Feriozzi, EMILY’s List Political Director. “She has an outstanding track record of advancing progressive values in Colorado and she has the experience to be a strong legislator. The EMILY’s List community is excited to support her campaign.”
District 24 is in north central Jefferson County, including Wheat Ridge, Golden, Edgewater, Applewood, Fairmount, Mountain View, and Lakeside, as well as parts of both Lakewood and Arvada.
Jessie Danielson currently serves as Colorado State Director for America Votes, and has worked for years on legislation that increases voting rights. She chairs the board of Emerge Colorado, an organization that encourages and trains Democratic women to run for office, and she serves on the boards of NARAL Pro-Choice Colorado and ProgressNow Colorado. Danielson is a former statewide political director for NARAL Pro-Choice Colorado.
