After 16 years working for progressive nonprofits — including one that encourages and trains female Democrats to run for office — Jessie Danielson is stepping into the political arena and running for office for the first time.

During her time in Colorado’s nonprofit sector, she’s been statewide political director at NARAL Pro-Choice Colorado, worked at a nonprofit that helps people with disabilities achieve self-sufficiency and is currently the Colorado State Director for America Votes.

Danielson has helped guide a wide slate of pro-choice and progressive policies through the state legislature, including last year’s Voter Access and Modernized Elections Act.

Danielson has a number of endorsements from state politicians and well known organizations — including the Colorado AFL-CIO, Conservation Colorado and a host of teacher, firefighter and other unions.
